Community Cornerstone

from Supt. Dr. Tracy Smith

March 26, 2026

Dear NUSD Families and Community,

Spring is here! We are looking forward to Open House events across all of our school sites, as well as Spring Break from April 6–10.

Thank you to the San Jose and Sinaloa PTSAs for organizing a fabulous districtwide parent education event, Raising Resilient Teens, taking place on Wednesday, April 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Novato High School. More details are included below, and Spanish interpretation will be provided.

We are also closely following recent news out of Los Angeles regarding social media and its impact on youth. We continue to watch and learn of the great harm that has been brought to our children through social media. As more information emerges, it continues to highlight the importance of supporting our students in navigating social media in healthy and safe ways. More to come as we continue to work together to support our students.

With gratitude,

Dr. Tracy Smith
Superintendent
